Paul Maxwell – Founder and President
Paul developed the idea for Maxwell’s Music House in his 4th year studying business at Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to completing a music minor, Paul studied Piano privately for 12 years and has been teaching equally as long. Paul won Young Entrepreneur through the KW Chamber of Commerce twice over the past few years as well as several other awards for his contributions to arts and entrepreneurship.

 

Dave Mansell – Vice President and Director of Education
Dave is currently teaching Guitar (electric & acoustic), Piano and songwriting at Maxwell’s Music House. A graduate from the University of British Columbia with a composition degree in double bass, Dave also has university equivalents in Piano, guitar and voice. Dave leads our Rockstar Public School Program and our popular Rockstar Camp for kids each March Break and summer months.

 

 

Kimberly Manning – Voice and Piano Instructor, Co-Creator of KiJengle
Kimberly currently teaches Piano and Voice lessons at Maxwell’s. She is also the Co-Creator of KiJengle, an inclusive music education and music therapy company that operates at Maxwell’s Music House and Kids Ability in Waterloo. Kimberly recently acquired a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University.

 

 

Daniel Alac – Bass Guitar, Electric/Acoustic Guitar and Drum Instructor
Daniel currently teaches Bass/Electric and Acoustic Guitar as well as Beginner Drum lessons at Maxwell’s Music House. Daniel has extensive experience playing in close to a dozen bands in the KW music scene. He has performed in hundreds of shows, played on many different studio albums and is currently playing Bass for the Lucas Stag Band. Danny’s fun teaching style has been very well-received since starting at Maxwell’s in 2008.

 

Michael VukovichElectric/Acoustic Guitar and Drum Instructor
Michael is currently teaching Electric and Acoustic guitar well as Beginner Drum lessons. Michael has had extensive formal training on guitar and has been the frontman for several bands over the past few years. Michael starred in and wrote all of the songs for a children’s television show called “Alfredo Tomato” that has been aired on Cogeco Cable.

 

 

Duncan McLennan – Drum and Percussion Instructor
Duncan recently graduated with a percussion degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Duncan is currently teaching intermediate to advanced drum and percussion lessons. Duncan has performed with a wide variety of musical acts and artists ranging all the way from Orchestras to Funk Bands to accompanying singer/songwriters. Duncan is currently drumming for Canadian BillBoard artist Scotty James.

 

Eric Marcotte – Electric and Acoustic Guitar Instructor
Eric is currently completing his undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in the music education stream. Eric’s focus at Laurier is predominantly on classical guitar, however, Eric also has years of experience playing Rock and Jazz guitar through various projects. Eric has a strong technical background on the guitar through years of professional lessons both privately and at the university level. Eric is currently accepting beginner to advanced acoustic and electric guitar students.

 

Jennifer Wu – Piano and Voice Instructor
Jenn is currently completing her Vocal Performance degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. Jenn has received first class honours through the Royal Conservatory for both Piano and Voice at the Grade 10 level and is actively involved as a local performer in musicals and various productions hosted through Wilfrid Laurier University.
